Have you ever wondered how Adam (the first man) learned how to speak, form thoughts and sentences. Was Adam created a full grown man or did he grow to maturity? Lets explore!
Genesis 2:7-17
7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. We can observe from the bible that God created Adam as a fully formed MAN. Though "Genesis 4:1" uses the same wording,
"Genesis 3:16" informs us that Eve would bare children.
8And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
10And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
11The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
12And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
13And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
14And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
15And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
16And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
We can observe from the last three verses of scripture how God gave Adam a straight forward set of instructions and it appears He (God) knew Adam was able to understand and obey the given instructions.
Was Adam formed with intelligence in his brain? How does the brain function?
If you were to do a quick study on the "brain" you would observe that the two primary functions of the brain are the execution of 1. Our Bodily functions and 2. Memorization.
Science has studied how complex the inner-workings of the brain and body are, and scientist are still baffled by Gods creation. Lets take a closer look into the "Memory" part of the brain.
Essentially, the external functions (i.e. play, work, greetings,etc) of human beings derive from memory, To gain a more in-depth study of this, study the birth process.
The question is when or how did Adam gather thoughts to remember? Take a look at Genesis 1:26 God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.
Then we see in Genesis 6:3 - "Then the Lord said, My Spirit shall not forever dwell and strive- (be in conflict) with man, for he also is flesh; but his days shall yet be 120 years. God was saying to the men of that time, that His (God's Spirit) breathe of Life would only be with men during that time for 120 years more."
So far we see, in the beginning, Man was made of flesh and Gods Spirit. At the top we learned the importance of Gods Spirit (the Holy Spirit) being inside of us, now lets take a look at the book of John to see why Gods spirit was given to us:
- John 3:16 - For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
- John 17:3 - And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent.
- John 14:17 - 17The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.
- John 14:20 - At that time [when that day comes] you will know [for yourselves] that I am in My Father, and you [are] in Me, and I [am] in you.
- John 14:26 - 26But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.
We learned earlier the effects of being in-dwelled by the Holy Spirit, when the Holy Spirit is within us we receive Gods attributes, the fruit of the spirit, and the gifts of the spirit. Adam had the power of the Holy Spirit available to him, being taught of the Holy Spirit, until He sinned against God.
We see from "Genesis 2:19, 3:6" how Adam and eve expressed a freewill in their speech, through this we learn we have the ability to CONTROL THE FLOW OF THE SPIRIT, because He is gentle. The Holy Spirit will not force Himself upon us - "I Corinthians 14:32"
We read in "John 16:13" how the the Holy Spirit will not speak of Himself, the Holy Spirit will only speak Gods word. Remember, the attributes of God - comes from having the word of God within you - "John 15:4", and the fruit of the Holy Spirit - is the result of the word that is within you. This is what Jesus meant when He said, " the Spirit will now be IN you."
in light of these facts we should wonder then how are the good gifts of the spirit conferred unto mankind - The answer - POSSESION of "THE HOLY SPIRIT", we literally can become possessed with a spirit, yet, remember we can control the flow of the spirit. Just as their are "EVIL" spirits that tempt people to kill, hate, lie, etc, the "Good" spirit, the Holy Spirit empowers people with healing, prophecy, Gods wisdom, etc. As was mentioned earlier the goodness and power of the Holy Spirit is granted to us as He ( the Holy Spirit) sees fit to bless people with them. Glory to God, His Holy Spirit is multifaceted.
Evil spirits are also known as "DEMONS" and they come from fallen angels. Angels are continually leaving their first habitation of heaven "Jude 6" following after satan. These continually falling angels need a host/body to survive otherwise they die (meaning they get locked away by God "2 Peter 2:4". None-the-less, both types of spirits whether good or evil "demons" can be controlled "Luke 8:27-33".
We find cases of demon possession in scripture, such happens through invitation, when you are not guarded with the armor of God, you may be prone to attack, just as Faith in God comes by hearing His Holy word, so does belief/faith in evil (doubt, sickness, diseases) come by hearing. Have you invited cancer, hatred, diabetes into your body? Your probably thinking - NO, you have never invited such spirits to come and dwell within you, however the bible also says that we are born sinners (open to evil nature), because of the Sin of Adam and Eve, their curse was passed onto everyone, this is also known as generational curses. Though these evil spirits may have been passed onto you, the issue is, you have not un-invited them from living inside of you/casted them out, as of yet!. You have the power to Un-invite them, but be sure to Fill yourself with Gods word, unless more evil may come upon you - "Matthew 12:43-45." Now we know (understand) the importance of inviting Jesus into our hearts(being), allowing Him to come in and empower the Holy Spirit, power(LIFE) to be awakened inside of us.
Understand, though you have been born again, you are still open to the invitation of "EVIL" spirits, when you disobey and or quench the Holy Spirit of God, if you don't "TRUELY/SINCERELY" REPENT and remain guarded. As with Adam, the rules still apply, when you "doubt" Gods word/instructions, listen to the voice of the enemy, and react to his lies, you lose your access to "LIFE", thankfully if you are born again you have the tool of repentance. Repentance is - acknowledgement of your wrong doing towards God and choosing now to change your ways and stop committing the same sins over and over again.
Before we were born again, we did not know the importance of getting an understanding of Gods living word, this is called renewing our mind with thoughts of good, stopping the rule of evil spirited beings "I Timothy 4:1" and becoming awakened on the inside. WE ARE OUR THOUGHTS, WHETHER GOOD OR EVIL! Observe the world and see all that the people created, who had thoughts of SELF i.e radio, t.v., furniture, planes, cars, etc. Yes, these were good inventions and they can serve a good purpose, but they also can be vessels of evil - stand guard!
In light of Adam being the first man- if he (Adam) had never sinned(listened and reacted to the lies of the enemy), what do you suppose His thought pattern would have been like? We can carefully see from God's standpoint, God would have us all only thinking/focusing on thoughts of goodness, purity, and wholeness, etc. The evil nature of Adam and all mankind needs to be pulled out of us, in order to know the importance of true LIFE, hopefully you invite life to dwell within you, before becoming completely empty (evil) on the inside. We must continue to feed on Gods Holy Word, because His Word is our source of Life! The fall of man was predestined to happen, in order to bring to the forefront the evil nature, yet it had to be man's choosing, otherwise we would have been like robots to God. As we are learning, the angels are learning and observing through us, discovering the importance of obedience to God" I Corinthians 6:3.
From this study we learned that Adam was taught through the in-dwelling of Gods Holy Spirit, and such has become the case for those who have been born (baptized/brought to life) by water and the spirit (born again.) - KNOW ( UNDERSTAND) THIS TRUTH!
DOUBT IS NOT DOUBT, UNLESS IT IS COMPARED TO A TOLD TRUTH! INFORM GOD's CHILDREN OF HIS TRUTH. Preach/teach Gods word/His instructions. The "MIND/MEMORY" of the people will eventually adapt and transform as they believe. People believe in God by seeing evidence of His work and hearing the testimonies of His witnesses, thereby building up the persons faith in the Lord.
What keeps people doubting and doing evil? - The answer: THEY HAVE NO COMPARISON. They are not seeing enough of Gods children being/doing GOOD in the world, giving their testimonies and being faithful witnesses. This is why we must continually do the will of God i.e Love, serve, give, preach, teach and obey, etc, because PEOPLE ARE LISTENING AND WATCHING!
People don't know they are living a "LIE", if they have nothing to compare it to, however those same people realize something is missing, they know their is a void in the their life, thinking, "this cannot be all there is to life", they have no clue without the truth, they only have an ear for those evil spirits that continually feed them lies, unless you tell them the truth, thereby setting them FREE!. Revive Gods spiritually dead children and/or become revived! Choose life! GOD's word is LIFE. INVITE God's Holy Spirit which has been living within you all along, to come Alive inside of you, and He will bring His power (life) to you from Heaven, empowering you to come alive and truly live life, Amen!
Now we will study the effects of disobedience to God instructions/His word.
"THE LIE"
So far we have learned that ADAM and EVE were created by the Spirit of the Lord and that the Spirit of the Lord dwelled within them "I Corinthians 12:12, Job 33:4" When the serpent (Satan) approached Adam and Eve his (Satan's) desire was to overcome them - "Isaiah 14:12-15, Ezekiel 28:13-19". When the fallen angel - Satan began to speak with Adam and Eve a very interesting thing happened, the idea of "knowledge" was introduced. What is knowledge? Knowledge is information. In this instance, the knowledge introduced by Satan was mixed with truth, not the full truth, therefore being a "LIE", causing doubt.
Though the knowledge/information introduced to Adam and Eve was counter to God's truth, they still held the power to choose. Their issue was, they allowed the seed of satans words to be planted into them/ meaning they began to give thought to/ believed what was said, and they chose to act upon the information. Why did they choose to believe (listen to and react) to the Lie? The answer: - they had NO TRUTH TO COMPARE it to. Yes, they knew the instructions given to them by God, but it was not understood by them, why, because they never saw the effects of disobedience, up until that point they only knew the rewards of obedience.
When Adam and Eve rebelled by disobeying Gods instructions, their eyes were opened, which means they were convicted (made aware of their sin) by the Holy Spirit of the Lord God, thereby quenching the Spirit of the Lord, causing Gods attributes, fruits, and gifts to leave (lay dormant within them)- "John 16:8".
Adam and Eve's sin separated them from God, who is the source of Life, which is the same as being spiritually dead. To clarify, the spirit of our body doesn't die when we sin against God, because our spirit is empowered by the Breath of Life/Gods spirit. What sin does is cause our connection (ONENESS) with God to be severed, thereby causing the power (the Holy Spirits gifts, attributes, etc, not the breathe of life) of life, which the Holy Spirit of the Lord gives to us, to stop working in and through us. The power of the Holy Spirit can only be REVIVED inside of us, when we believe and obey Gods instructions.
The bible says, not having access to the power of Life/the Holy Spirit, causes our physical bodies to die, also known as the "FIRST DEATH". There will be a "Second Death". The second death is what the bible calls a permanent separation from GOD for all eternity - "Revelation 20:6/Acts 1:8"
When we physically die our Soul (memories, will power, and emotions) goes to heaven or hell. If your soul goes to hell, you will be tormented, awaiting the resurrection and judgement of every evil person who has ever lived, to be sentenced to eternal damnation, based on your disbelief in Gods word (Jesus), also known as your refusal of Gods gift of life. Yet, if sent to heaven your physical body will lay dormant until the resurrection which occurs during the rapture of Gods good children, and your soul (the actual you) goes to be with God in Christ in heaven, "THEN" most importantly, you get to partake in the "Marriage supper of the LAMB OF GOD". " Revelations 2:7, 7:17kjv"
The marriage supper of the Lamb symbolizes the church being fed "LIFE", the bread of life/ manna/angels food, causing your resurrected body to become glorified/spiritual/immortal, AMEN! Through the marriage supper we see the importance of constantly feeding ourselves with the living word of God, while here on Earth, in order to keep the earthly body alive and well! This same process in the bible is commonly referred to as "communion" (John 6:48-64).
When Jesus told us through the scripture to receive the Holy Spirit, He meant acknowledge/believe that the Holy Spirit has been laying inside of you all along, but you have been blinded by sin. Become baptized by the Holy Spirit (let Him revive your entire being), then He (the Holy spirit) will make His presence known to you, and bring you power from on HIGH, allowing you to change your atmosphere and circumstances! - I ADMONISH YOU TO RECIEVE THIS KEY (UNDERSTANDING). When this happens you will be allowed to bring forth the signs and wonders of GOD for the purpose of being a witness to all the world. - "I Corinthians 14:22".
DO NOT LOSE YOUR LIFE BY REMAING UNREPENTED TOWARDS GOD! ENDURE(FEED ON GOD's WORD AND REPENT OF YOUR SINS) UNTIL THE END (UNTIL JESUS COMES) AND YOU WILL BE SAVED (YOU WILL HAVE THE POWER OF GODS KINGDOM ON EARTH NOW, AND YOU WILL GO TO HEAVEN, WHEN JESUS COMES), AMEN (IT WILL BE DONE) - Matthew 24:13!

10In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].
11Put on God's whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
12For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
13Therefore put on God's complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].
14Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,
15And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the [a]firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness []produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace.
16Lift up over all the [covering] shield of []saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].
17And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit [d]wields, which is the Word of God.
18Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God's consecrated people).
BELT OF TRUTH
Putting on the "belt of truth" symbolizes you surrounding your lower body (loins) with truth, meaning to stay clear of sexual immorality i.e fornication, homosexuality, etc,) because your body is the temple of the Lord God.
BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
Putting on the "breastplate of righteousness" symbolizes you standing firm, knowing you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. It is your proclamation to the rest of the word of you living your life with integrity, representing God in all that you do. It is living right in the sight of God and man, allowing God to keep your heart pure!
Imagine yourself putting on these tools of warfare everyday, Always Knowing and remembering what they symbolize. When we live our lives according to what each of these tools represent, no one will have an offense against us, the enemy cannot accuse us to our God of any wrong doing, and we can stand strong against the attacks of the enemy, living life as God intended. AMEN!

SHIELD OF FAITH
Carrying the "shield of faith" symbolizes you standing strong in God through Christ. It shows you know Gods word. You trust in Gods word. You understand Gods word and You believe all that God has spoken through His inspired word which is - "THE HOLY BIBLE". When we stand strong with our Faith in God, knowing all that He has promised to US, through His word, we will stand strong against the attacks of the enemy, knowing God is our shield and protector!
HELMET OF SALVATION
Putting on the "helmet of salvation" symbolizes you knowing, believing, and trusting in your mind - YOU ARE SAVED by the blood of Jesus. You have sought out understanding of what is means to be saved, and you are obeying Jesus as your Lord and Savior, enabling you to endure until God calls us home to Heaven.
SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
Handling the "sword of the spirit" symbolizes THE WORD OF GOD - THE HOLY BIBLE. When we speak, hear, and put into action Gods Holy Living Word we can better separate fact from fiction and truth from lies. Through Gods word thoughts of naturalness transform into thoughts of supernaturalness. When we wield the sword of the spirit, the Holy Spirit of God brings power to you and the Holy angels of the Lord comes to perform the word you spoke, because God watches over His word.. "Hebrews 4:12"
FEET OF PEACE
These boots symbolizes you being given and putting on Gods Peace. They Represent you bringing peace to wherever you go. You have become a peacemaker. A keeper of peace!
***Continued from "The War for your Soul" - As people of God continue to grow/mature we must learn the importance of putting on the whole armor of God, in order to stay guarded against the effects/wiles of the enemy.
Ex.
While you are in this World, but no longer "OF" this world (not subject to acting like the world), because you have been born again, you are still prone to attacks from your enemy - SATAN!. The following are some instances that may occur if you DO NOT have God's Living Word inside of you.
When someone approaches you - YOU HAVE TO TEST THE SPIRITAUL LIFE FORCE INSIDE OF THEM!. HOW? - I John 4:1 -
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try [test] the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God.
This is crucial. The enemy will use anyone. The same negative energy travels through T.V, Radio, Telephone, etc. Be especially careful when you are entering a place of business and/or someone's home. Jesus commanded His disciples to say, "Peace be on this house" when entering - "Luke 10:5". if salvation is questionable we must take authority over the home. This applies to everyone. People may appear friendly, yet the question is who or what type of energy is influencing their soul? Is it the thoughts of our supposed killer inside of them?- Satan, The bible calls such people "wolves in sheep's clothing" - BEWARE!.

"II Corinthians 10:4, Isaiah 54:17"
The sword of the spirit is a very important tool in the armor of God. It represents Gods Holy Word. When we feed on Gods word, (which symbolizes Jesus the Christ -"John1:1") we allow God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to literally come alive inside of us. When the Holy Spirit of the Lord is empowered due to the word of God being inside of us "HE" brings with HIM TRANSFORMATION, POWER, & GIFTS from GOD, AMEN!
As the Holy Spirit is empowered within us He brings/activates powerful tools of TRANSFORMATION, i.e - WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE, MIGHT, COUNSEL, REVERENCE AND OBEDIENT FEAR, HOLINESS, AND UNDERSTANDING - "ISAIAH 11:2". These can also be called the attributes and/or the seven spirits of God.
Second - As you submit to the transformation process of the Holy Spirit to become Christ-like, you and those around you should notice a change within you. The evidence produced from such a transformation is called the "FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT" - i.e Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. Each of these should manifest within our lives daily, if we are truly born again (growing in the Spirit of the Lord).
Third - As we grow to maturity, continually being transformed, God blesses us with His power as He deems necessary, in order that He would be glorified. This power is called the Gifts of the Holy Spirit i.e. - a discription of the spiritual gifts can be found in:
1 Corinthians 12:1-14 - Wisdom, Knowledge, Discerning of spirits, Prophecy, Speaking in tongues, Interpretation of tongues, Faith, Working of miracles, Helps, and Administration -
(those in orange are also called the tongues of angels "I Corinthians 13:1").
1 Corinthians 12:27-30 - Ministry, Teaching, Exhortation, Giving, Leading, Showing mercy- (compassion)
Romans 12:6-8/Ephesians 4:11 - Apostleship, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, & Teacher
